A native of Lexington, Bruzina is a graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. This will mark her thirteenth year with the Louisville Ballet. After four seasons as Principal, Mikelle has accepted  the coveted the position of Ballet Mistress. Bruzina is known for her diversity in classical ballet as well as modern and contemporary ballets. Her classical repertoire includes Swan Lake, Giselle, Anna Karenina, Three Musketeers, The Nutcracker and Beauty and the Beast. She has also been featured in works by Adam Hougland, David Parsons, Choo-San Goh, Paul Taylor and Anthony Tudor. Bruzina is also active as a choreographer and is thrilled to be setting her fourth work on the Louisville Ballet this season.
